I took a trip recently to Kilnahard which is located on the shores of Lough Sheelin. Its hard to believe that mother nature can spill so much rain in a short period of time. Much of Ireland had experienced severve weather conditions over the last couple of weeks. Left behind in Kilnahard were some boats which had been forgotten about by anglers. The Jetty itself was completely under water and as many as 20 boats had been claimed by the very recent flood. The mobile homes in the car park have been spared. I would urge anglers to take notice. If you have left your boat unattended in Kilnahard, its time to take action. Heavy rain is again forecasted for much of the country combined with strong winds over the next 10 days.
